HeARTSongs Early Childhood Arts Program As a children’s music consultant, Pam created & developed the HeARTSongs Early Childhood Arts Program. Pam Lindsey’s HeARTSongs, an acronym for Helping Encourage the Arts through Songs, was commissioned in 2002 by The Craddock Center, a non-profit organization in Cherry Log, GA to offer weekly music and dance classes to Head Start and Pre-K children in the Southern Appalachian region. In three years the program grew to serve over 1,400 children. In 2005, The Craddock Center expanded the HeARTSongs format, adding storytelling, and named it The Children’s Enrichment Program. Formerly employed by The Craddock Center, Pam directed and developed curriculum and training for six arts specialists teaching the CEP. In 2007, she relocated to Franklin, TN where she continues to promote the benefits of early childhood exposure to the arts by offering HeARTSongs classes to preschools in Nashville and the surrounding communities. Biographical Information HeARTSongs originally began in 1990, in Augusta, GA as a music enrichment program. As a children’s concert artist, Pam was invited to share her love of music with children on a weekly basis. She created HeARTSongs to share the joy of music with children and to introduce them to the arts, in the classroom setting, as early as possible. She also developed a senior’s program for “the young at heart” which is popular at retirement homes and assisted living centers. Music Consultant - Pam contracted with the Medical College of Georgia from 1990-1996 to serve as a music consultant for its Child Development Center in Augusta. In addition to MCG, she taught weekly classes to over 600 other preschool and elementary age children in GA & SC. In 1990, she and her husband, Craig, created, developed and produced a HeARTSongs television pilot with the ABC affiliate in Augusta, GA. Pre-School Performance Classes at Studio One Performing Arts School, Blue Ridge, GA. Pam taught the HeARTSongs music classes for two years. Classes included: a “Moms & Me class for toddlers,” a 2 & 3 year olds class, and a 4 & 5 year olds class. . Music Presenter /Workshop Leader for professional childcare associations in GA and SC. She has been a Keynote Speaker for the Georgia Association of Young Children, Regional Conference, held at University of Georgia and has conducted music teacher training workshops at technical Colleges in Georgia and South Carolina. Personal Pam is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), TAEYC (TN). She is a former member of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association and The Blue Ridge Mountain Storytellers and past Musical Director for the Blue Ridge Community Theater Sunny D Children’s Programs.
Amanda Galloway, worked as an arts specialist with the HeARTSongs program from 2003-2006. The Craddock Center renamed the program the Children's Enrichment Program and Amanda teaches classes in Fannin, Gilmer, Union and Pickens Counties in Georgia.

The 'HeARTSongs' program has added three arts specialists to its weekly childhood arts sessions for Head Start and PreK children: Tracy Walker, Connie Chancey, and Debbie From.
Children presented Pam with a "Thank You" bouquet of flowers at the end of the 2002 school year. HeARTSongs CHILDREN PERFORM Children also experience the joy of "live performances" through special HeARTSongs performance opportunities which are an integral part of the program. Throughout the year children perform for their peers, family members, the elderly and various other groups within the community and at special events.

several songs under the leadership of Pam Lindsey
and the HeARTSongs program. Here, students
perform a hip-hop version of "Five Monkeys
Jumping on the Bed." After the songs,
students went to the playground for a variety of
activities, including T-ball, a dunking booth and
other games. The day's activities included a
book fair where each also celebrated a resolution
passed by the Georgia House of Representatives
commending the state's pre-K program, which,
according to a survey by the National Institute
for Early Education Research of Rutgers
University, has one of the top three preschool
programs in the nation. Fannin County's
state representatives, Jack White and David
Ralston, were present for the activities.
White is a member of the House Education
Committee.

Heartsongs children and Sunny D Children's Theater kids performed at Lindsey's Malt Shop in Blue Ridge during "Blue Ridge 'til Twilight". Pam was Musical Director for the Sunny D Children's Theater Camp and has co-directed several children's productions of the Blue Ridge Community Theater.
HeARTSongs children performed at the June Dedication of the Gilmer County Habitat House in Ellijay, Georgia.
Under The Craddock Center's endowment, HeARTSongs began with Fannin and Gilmer Head Start children. In May 2003, Fannin Head Start children performed at their end of the year carnival.
